We love a good safe space for OU students, but what about for our faculty and staff? OutOHIO is Ohio University’s LGBTQIA+ affinity organization for faculty and staff, and they’re hosting Fabulous Front Room First Fridays beginning this September 1st.
What are Fabulous Front Room First Fridays, you ask?
Held in Baker Center Front Room, these gatherings are a chance for LGBTQIA+ OU employees to connect, relax, regroup, and help grow a close-knit community that offers support for everything from a difficult class load to networking opportunities.
Once it’s up and running, OutOHIO is planning to add additional events throughout the academic year, which are TBA. They encourage everyone to invite any friends who might be interested in connecting with other LGBTQIA+ faculty and staff across campus.
Ohio University is a safe space for everyone, and these Fabulous Front Room First Fridays will be a great addition to our culture of acceptance. So come out, socialize, relax, network, and sign up for more OutOHIO events! More questions? Email outohio@ohio.edu
