See Indigo Girls with OHIO Symphony Orchestra at MemAud this March

The Indigo Girls are coming to Athens this March 21st for a concert featuring the OHIO symphony orchestra, set to play at 730pm at Templeton-Blackburn Memorial Auditorium.

There’s something about the Indigo Girls. On the scene since the late ‘80s, they’ve racked up quite an impressive lists of record sales and music awards. NPR would argue they’re one of the best fold duos on time, but they’re a lot more than that, too.

From the Hills & Hollers: Appalachian Stories Film Series at Athena Cinema

Of the many fascinating aspects of Appalachia, the people are perhaps the most interesting. A strange marriage of diversities and commonalities, every hill and holler (get it?) has its own special people and places. Appalachia is represented in tonnes of films, even if just incidentally. And, aware or not, it’s shaped the country’s view of the region, and the region’s view of itself. Unfortunately, that’s resulted in an underrepresentation and misrepresentation of who we are.

The Hill Has Eyes Paranormal Psychic Fair at The Ridges

Looking for a fun way to kick off the pumpkin-spice-latte-and-ghosts-and-stuff season? The Hills Have Eyes is always a good choice for movie night. But if you’re looking to get out of the house and go somewhere that’s just naturally creepy, The Ridges is where it’s at. And this year on 23 September, you can find a very unique and supernaturally-inclined arts fair there – The Hill Has Eyes Paranormal Psychic Fair.
